Use Finish and save when guests leave the restaurant. The feature works for both regular and walk-in reservations.
How to close a reservation
- Open the seated reservation or walk-in reservation when the guests leave.
- Change its status to Finished.
- Select Finish and save.
The reservation closes automatically, and its end time is set to the closest available time slot. You do not need to adjust the end time manually.
The exact finish time is retained in the activity log, while the reservation view shows the closest time slot. If the red current-time line has passed the scheduled end time, the reservation is extended to the closest available time slot.
Closing reservations when guests leave provides more accurate visit-duration data. This helps the restaurant calculate the average reservation duration and plan table availability more effectively.
