Reservation confirmation
Reservation Confirmation Settings
At Widget settings, you can select the Reservation confirmation type, which can be:
- Automatic confirmation (default)
- Manual confirmation by the restaurant
- Manual confirmation by the guest
Automatic Confirmation

Reservations are instantly confirmed

The guest receives a confirmation email (and an optional SMS)

The reservation status is displayed as Confirmed

If you use prepayments, the guest also automatically receives a Prepayment email
Manual Restaurant Confirmation

Reservations remain Pending until you approve or decline them

The guest first receives an email stating that the restaurant has received the request and is reviewing it

Once you change the status to Confirmed or Cancelled, the guest receives a follow-up email
Tip: If you use this option, we recommend enabling Always pre-selection notification in reservation settings. This way, the email notification is pre-selected automatically—you only need to change the status from Pending to Confirmed
Manual Guest Confirmation

Guests must re-confirm their reservation themselves

The guest instantly receives a Pending reservation email/message

A set time before the reservation, they receive an Approval email with a link to confirm

You can choose how many hours/days before the booking the approval request is sent

If a reservation is made less than the set time before arrival, it will be automatically confirmed

If the guest does not re-confirm, the reservation remains in Pending status

All emails mentioned above can be customized in your Email Notifications Settings.
