SMS and Email Settings

Some countries, including the USA, Canada, and Saudi Arabia, may have additional SMS restrictions or verification requirements. Contact **support@tablein.com** before sending messages to a restricted destination. The support team can check whether any additional steps are required.

How to manage SMS and email notifications

You can choose which messages Tablein sends to your guests and restaurant staff.

Open notification settings
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Under Notifications, select SMS and email.

Turn SMS messages on or off

Use the Enable messages switch at the top of the page.

  • Turn it on to allow SMS notifications.
  • Turn it off to stop all SMS notifications.

SMS messages are sent only when you have available SMS credits. They stop automatically when your balance reaches zero.

Add SMS credits
  1. Find Available SMS Credits.
  2. Select Add funds.
  3. Add your billing information if requested.
  4. Enter the amount you want to add.
  5. Choose the currency.
  6. Select Credit Card or Wire Transfer.
  7. Review the processing fee and total.
  8. Complete the payment.

Your new balance will appear under Available SMS Credits after a successful payment.

Please note. SMS credits are non-refundable. Refunds are not provided for unused SMS credits.

Paying by wire transfer

The minimum wire-transfer amount is €10.

After selecting Wire Transfer, enter the email address where you want to receive the invoice.

Please allow 1–2 business days for the invoice to be prepared and sent to this email address. SMS credits are added only after the transferred funds reach our bank account.

A card-processing fee is not charged for wire transfers.

For urgent credit purchases, we recommend paying by credit card because the credits can be added more quickly.

Paying by credit card

Enter your card details and complete the payment. Any card-processing fee will be shown before you confirm the purchase.

Set your Sender ID

The Sender ID is the business name guests see as the sender of an SMS.

  1. Enter your restaurant or brand name in the Sender ID field.
  2. Use no more than 11 characters.
  3. Do not use special characters such as @, &, $, or *.
  4. Select Save.

Use a short name that your guests will recognize.

Use shortened links

Turn on Use shortened links to replace long website links with shorter ones.

Short links may reduce SMS costs, but some countries restrict them. Turn this option off if guests have problems opening or receiving your links.

Select Save after changing this setting.

Choose which notifications to send

The Notification rules section shows the available messages for guests and restaurant staff.

To change a notification:

  1. Find the notification you want to change.
  2. Open its settings.
  3. Choose For guests or For restaurant.
  4. Turn the available SMS or email option on or off.
  5. Edit the message if needed.
  6. Select Preview to check it.
Select Save.

Available notifications include:

  • New reservations
  • Reservation confirmations
  • Modified reservations
  • Reservation reminders
  • Feedback requests
  • Cancelled reservations
  • Waiting-list updates
  • Manual confirmations
  • Guest no-shows

A dash means that the notification channel is not available for that message.

Reservation reminders

Reservation reminders are sent to guests only.

You can:

  • Turn SMS reminders on or off.
  • Choose when the reminder is sent.
  • Edit the SMS and email text.
  • Allow guests to modify or cancel their reservation from the email.
  • Preview the message before saving it.

Email preview

The Michelin Dining Experience shown in the email preview is only an example.

If the guest selects an event or experience when making a reservation, the selected event or experience will appear in the email. If nothing is selected, no event or experience information will be added.

The preview uses sample information, so the final email may look different. To see exactly what your guests will receive, create a test reservation using the same options and check the email sent by the system.
