SMS message pricing

SMS messages are an optional service from TableIn. The price will depend on your country and our preferred operator.

The cost of sending an SMS from Tablein depends on the destination country and the mobile network operator (GSM network) of the recipient. The price shown is based on the final operator that delivers the SMS to the customer’s phone - not the restaurant’s phone number or operator. Country restrictions and verification

Some countries have SMS delivery restrictions and may require additional verification or registration before SMS can be delivered successfully. Please make sure to check the destination country requirements before starting to use the SMS service. If a country has restrictions, please contact support@tablein.com for more details.

Important - SMS character limits

The price shown is for 1 standard SMS message. However, SMS messages have a character limit. If your text is longer than the allowed limit, it will automatically be split into multiple SMS messages - and you will be charged multiple times.

Character limits per SMS:

  • Up to 140 characters for Roman alphabet languages (English, Spanish, etc.)
  • Up to 70 characters for languages like Hindi, Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Cyrillic languages (Russian, Ukrainian, Serbian, Bulgarian, etc.)

Special characters count as more. Some symbols like $, ó, à may count as 2-3 characters. Example:
The word Confirmación contains 14 characters, not 12.

Longer SMS = higher cost

If your message exceeds the character limit (including spaces), it will be split into multiple SMS parts: 1 SMS = normal price, 2 SMS = double price, 3 SMS = triple price, etc. Example: If your SMS contains 141 characters, it will be sent as 2 SMS messages, so the cost will be 2x the listed price.
