Attention! The new settings are not compatible with the old plugin version and calendar. If you wish to update the plugin on your website, please integrate widget from V3 version widget integration.
Reservation duration
The system now automatically adjusts the reservation duration based on the number of people. Larger groups may receive longer durations, while smaller groups or lunchtime reservations may have shorter durations.
You can set a default reservation duration, such as 2 hours, and a minimum possible duration for shorter bookings. For example, bookings for 1.5-hour slots are now allowed, even if the default duration is set to 2 hours.
Guests will be informed about shorter booking durations during the online reservation process and receive confirmation emails with the start and end times. Ensure your system is updated to use the new V3 widget for smooth operation.
To Activate the New Settings
- Log in to admin.tablein.com and go to the Reservation duration.
Default time
The system prioritizes the default reservation time (e.g., 2 hours). If unavailable, it offers shorter options in order (e.g., 1:45, then 1:30).
Min turnover for phone reservations -
The minimum turnover time for phone reservations can be set to a value like 15 minutes, 1 hour or aligned with the default time. When restaurant use the reservation button and the default time isn’t sufficient, the system will show available start and end times along with the total duration based on the number of guests.
If you use the drag-and-drop option, the reservation time will be set based on your selected time and will not adjust according to the number of guests.
Min turnover for online reservations: To optimize restaurant occupancy, the system will offer shorter reservation slots when available. For example, if the time range is 1.5 to 2 hours, and a 1.5-hour slot is open, the system will propose that option. Guests can then decide if the shorter duration is acceptable or if they need more time.
If you don’t want to set a minimum time, input the same value for the reservation duration (e.g., 2 hours - 2 hours). This ensures consistent reservation lengths.
