Learn how to add walk-in reservation and release table
A walk-in reservation is a table booking made on the spot without a prior appointment. It is commonly used for guests who arrive at the restaurant without a reservation. These bookings are logged immediately into the reservation system to ensure accurate table management and availability tracking.
How to Add a Walk-in Reservation Directly onto the Calendar:
- Open admin.tablein.com
- Click and drag (to the right) along the time grid to set the duration of the reservation.
- Change the reservation status to "Walk-in".
- Click Save to confirm the booking.
How to Add a Walk-in Reservation Using the “Reservation” Button
- Locate and click the “Reservation” button to create a new booking.
- Set the status to “Walk-in”.
- Input the total number of guests.
- Select both the Start Time and End Time for the reservation.
- From the list of available tables, select the desired one and click Confirm.
- Finalize the booking by clicking Save.
How to Release a Table After a Walk-in Reservation:
- Find and click on the existing walk-in reservation from the calendar or reservation list.
- Adjust the reservation end time to the nearest available time slot.
- Click Save to confirm and release the table for new bookings.
